What the app keeps about you, where, for how long, and what you can do about it. It is the same text you can read inside the app.

In short
Seasons is a recipe and meal-planning app. It has no ads, no tracking and no analytics. You can use it without an account: everything then stays on your device. With an account, what you create is kept on our server so it syncs between your devices and you can share it.
You can export your data or delete your account at any time in Settings → Your data.
Who is responsible
Seasons is responsible for the data described here. Contact: contact@codewave-consulting.fr.
What stays on your device
Without an account, your lists, calendar, pantry, folders, ratings, recipes you write and preferences stay on your device only.
Your allergies, your household's allergies, diabetes tracking and the GL < 20 diet stay on your device too, even with an account: they help plan meals and warn about allergens here, and are never sent to Seasons.
The blood-sugar log (diabetes tracking) never leaves your device, even with an account. It is encrypted on the device with a key kept in the device's keychain, and it is not part of the data export.
Drafts, cooking timers and reminders are also kept on the device only.
What we keep with an account
Your email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and your display name, bio and photo if you add them.
What you create and share: recipes, photos, comments, ratings and "I cooked this", follows, folders, shopping lists, calendar, pantry and invitations.
Your preferences, so they follow you between devices: diets, ingredients you never want, your household (names, portions and diets), meal times, units, language, recipe languages and store layout.
Reports you send about content, and the notifications we show you in the app.
What is public
Approved recipes, their photos, your display name, bio and photo, comments and ratings are visible to everyone who uses Seasons. Lists and folders are only visible to the people you share them with.
Why we use your data
To provide the app you asked for: sync, sharing, comments, notifications and moderation (performance of our agreement with you).
Seasons keeps no health data on its servers: allergies, diabetes tracking and the blood-sugar log stay on your device.
We do not sell your data, show ads, build profiles for marketing, or use your data to train models.
Who else handles it
Supabase hosts our database, file storage and authentication in the European Union (Ireland), and sends account emails, on our behalf.
Voice control uses the speech recognition of your phone or browser (Apple, Google or Microsoft, depending on where you use it). They turn your voice into text under their own privacy terms; Seasons only receives the text, on your device, and does not keep it.
When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is looked up in Open Food Facts. It contains nothing about you.
When you import a recipe from a link, our server opens that page to read the recipe and sends it back to your device. The site sees a visit from our server, not from you, and we keep neither the link nor the page.
We share nothing else with anyone, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete it, your recipes, folders, lists, preferences and account are deleted. Your comments stay, shown as "deleted user", so conversations still make sense. Copies in our host's backups disappear as those backups expire.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data from the app, withdraw your consent, and object to or restrict its use. For anything else, write to contact@codewave-consulting.fr. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Children
Seasons is not meant for children under 15, who should not create an account without their parents' agreement.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Access to it is limited by database rules, so people only see what is theirs or shared with them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Who publishes the app
Seasons is published by CodeWave Consulting, which is responsible for your data. Company details are in the Legal notice
